Local cheer organization garners division national title

National champions: The Cheer Time USA Senior L4 division team won the Champion Spirit Group Super Nationals Sunday. Cheer Time USA won the national championship in the Senior L4 division Sunday.

Champion Spirit Group Super Nationals were staged over the weekend at McCormick Place in Chicago. 

The all-star cheerleading competition included more than 250 teams from 15 states. 

Cheer Time USA, based in Morton, competed four out of its five teams. 

The Senior team consists of 18 members from Morton, Pekin, East Peoria, Dunlap and Peoria.

Cheer Time USA’s Senior L4 team competed Saturday with a solid routine that put it in first place after the first day. 

Cheer Time USA had to compete in reverse order on day two, meaning it would be the last team in its division to take the floor. 

An outstanding performance allowed The Senior L4 team to hold onto its first-place position and capture the national championship.

Cheer Time USA is a competitive all-star cheerleading team that trains athletes ranging in ages pre-school through adults. 

Cheer Time USA currently is in the process of preparing for the 2010-11 season.
