Mid-Illini nets 2-2 all-star soccer tie

With Morton’s Adam Bazzetta assisting on the first score Monday, the Mid-Illini Conference earned a 2-2 draw in the 4-KICKS/Sport Verein Senior All-Star game.

The M-I improved to 3-5-4 in this format against the Mid-State 6 Conference, which also included Peoria Christian, Illinois Valley Central and Roanoke-Benson/Eureka.

Matt Rossi, Tyler Sniff, Nathaniel Hatton and Dylan Henricks also represented the Potters on the 20-player Mid-Illini squad.

The M-I was down 2-1 late at Peoria Stadium until a game-tying from Washington’s Scotty Alexander.

Notre Dame head coach Mike Bare was the Peoria Area Soccer Coaches Association Coach of the Year.
