Morton's dominance of the Bloomington Sectional continued Saturday.

Five Potters advanced to the Illinois High School Association boys tennis state final after their efforts at the postseason tournament.

Head coach Joal Stanfield's Morton crew scored 24 points, four more than Normal University, to claim its ninth sectional championship in the last 10 years.

It was an all-Potter title match in doubles.

Junior twins Trent and Grant Reiman prevailed in three sets, 6-3, 4-6, 6-2, over senior Jonah Laktas and sophomore Chandler Stimpert.

The Reimans did not lose a set in reaching the championship round.

Laktas/Stimpert rallied for a 0-6, 6-2, 6-2 semifinal win over Justin Buechele and Brandon Lam of Normal Community.

Morton senior Taylor Nave again made the state field after a runner-up sectional finish in singles.

After a pair of straight-sets victories, Nave outlasted Derek Rineberg of Pekin, 7-5, 3-6, 7-6 (7-4) in the semifinals.

State: Action in the double-elimination tournament begins Thursday in the Chicago suburbs.

Arlington Heights Hersey is the tournament central site.

Nave will make his fourth state trip.

The Reimans, who went 6-2 a year ago, and Laktas are three-time state qualifiers.

Morton placed 15th in the state in 2012.
